Somalia and the US
Somalia-USA, Politics, 1/7/2002
The US New York Times said on Sunday that one of the Somali war Lords Hussein Muhammad Aided proposed to the US help for fighting terrorism.
News reports quoted the paper as saying that the proposal was made in a message addressed to the US President after the incidents of September 11. American officials refused Aided's offer noting that they do not get recommendations from a war lord.
Worthy mentioning that Aided's father Muhammad Aided was an opposition member to the American presence in Somalia in 1993.
