Saudi - Egyptian economic relations reviewed

Saudi minister of finance and the economy Ibrahim al-Assaf on Sunday in al-Riyadh discussed with Egypt's minister of supply and trade means of supporting and developing trade and economic relations between the two sisterly states.
During the meeting, held on Sunday, the two sides discussed means of facilitating trade exchange relations and finding out solutions to obstacles which impede the development of bilateral trade relations so as to attain the objective of the free trade zone between the two countries.
Worthy mentioning that trade exchange rate between the two states have witnessed during the three past years great recession, as total trade exchange value reached in 1999 some 2190 million Saudi riyals,. A figure which represents a recession of 500 million riyals over the figures of 1998 and 1000 million riyals over the figures of 1997.
