Vedrine lauds stability, security in Egypt

French Foreign Minister Hubert Vedrine expressed his overwhelming happiness over spending Christmas celebrations in Egypt and lauded the security and stability enjoyed by Egypt. Vedrine made sight-seeing tours of the archaeological sites in Luxor, Aswan and Siwa Oases.
In a telephone call held upon his return to Paris on Friday with Foreign Minister Ahmed Maher, the French foreign minister voiced his appreciation of the warm welcome he received in Egypt.
Vedrine expressed his thanks for the assistance offered by the Egyptian authorities and the Tourism Ministry to arrange for his visit.
