One Palestinian killed, four wounded in Israeli aggressions
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 1/5/2002

One Palestinian was killed by the Israeli forces bullets and these forces broke into al-Tel village to the southern west of Nablus and carried out a campaign of arrest that targeted several members of the " Hamas" movement, while other four Palestinians were wounded by the Israeli bullets in Ramullah.

Palestinian medical sources in Gaza stressed that bodies of the three Palestinian youths who were killed two days ago by the Israeli soldiers were exposed to deformation.

Meantime, the Israeli prime minister met on Friday with the US envoy Anthony Zinni. The meeting was attended by the Israeli foreign minister Shimon Peres and his defense minister Benjamin Bin Aliazer to discuss latest developments.

Israeli sources said that Sharon proposed to Zinni new pressure means on the Palestinian authority to halt the Intifada ultimately.

Sharon said he had stressed to Zinni he will not permit Arafat to leave Ramullah to take part in the Christmas celebrations of the Christian communities which follow the oriental Calendar next Monday under the pretext that Arafat did not arrest the Palestinians responsible for the killing of the Israeli tourism minister Rahba'am Zeif.

For his part, the Israeli army chief of staff Shaoul Mofaz renewed Israel's continued policy of killing the Palestinians. He claimed that Israel has found on Thursday a ship loaded with 50 tons of weapons near the coats of Gaza.

Mofaz said that the Palestinian Authority has not yet taken strategic decisions to halt what he called violence and returning back to the table of negotiations. He described the calm prevailing the Palestinian territories as tactical aiming at improving the position of the Palestinian Authority before the world.

Zinni said following his meeting with Arafat on Friday in Ramullah that a tripartite ( American, Israeli, Palestinian) will be organized. The chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Oreikat said the next meeting of this tripartite committee will be held on Monday and Zinni will be attending.
