Iraq-Regional, Politics, 1/4/2002
An official Iraqi source said the Iraqi foreign minister Naji Sabri will next week pay a visit to Bahrain at the official invitation of his Bahrain's counterpart Sheikh Muhammad Bin Mubarak during which they will hold talks " to strengthen brotherly relations."
The announcement made on Sabri's visit comes less than two weeks after the end of the meetings of the Gulf Cooperation Council GCC summit which were held in Muscat and called on Baghdad to implement all UN resolutions concerned relating to the invasion of the Iraqi forces to Kuwait in August 1990.
Replying to a question on the date of Sabri's visit for Iran, the Iraqi source said that this visit " will be made by the end of the current month and comes at the officials invitation of the Iranian foreign minister Kamal Kharazi."
It is expected, however, that Kharazzi will discuss during his presence in Tehran on several issues, foremost being the closure of the file of the Iraqi- Iranian war prisoners and missing and closing the file of the Iraqi civil and military planes deposited in Iran since the end of 1990.
