Arab League calls for member states to pay due sums

The permanent committee of the financial and administrative affairs at the Arab League (AL) has prepared a study on delayed sums due to have been paid by the AL member states in the period between 1990- 1998 and extended thanks to Arab states which started to pay delayed sums so as to enable the AL general secretariat to fulfil set obligations.

Worthy mentioning that delayed sums that have to be paid by several AL member states are USD 43 million, especially Arab states like Mauritania, Comoros, Iraq, Somalia, Sudan and Djibouti have not paid their shares in the AL budget since 1990, due to the certain conditions these countries have been witnessing.
