China welcomes Mubarak's visit
Egypt-China, Politics, 1/3/2002
Egyptian Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Fayza Abul-Naga met on Wednesday with the Chinese Ambassador to Egypt.
The meeting took up relations between Egypt and China and the positive outcome of the visit to Cairo last week by the Chinese Foreign Minister.
They also discussed preparations for the expected visit to China by President Hosni Mubarak late this month.
The Egyptian-Chinese talks touched on economic relations between the two countries and the positive outcome of Beijing's admission to the World Trade Organization.
They stressed the importance of doubling the volume of trade between the two countries and increasing Egyptian exports to China.
The Minister said that promoting the volume of exports to world countries, including China, would top the priorities of the Egyptian government in the coming stage to reduce the unemployment and improve services in rural areas.
