Human rights organizations stage sit-in in Casablanca

Several Moroccan human rights organizations have staged a sit-in in Casablanca on Monday, to call for the setting up of an independent national body to establish truth in past human rights violations.
The sit-in was organized by the Moroccan Association for Human Rights, the Truth and Justice Forum and the Moroccan Organization for Human Rights under the slogan "May the year 2002 See the Birth of the Independent National Institution for Truth."
Organizers say the sit-in is part of the activation of the recommendations made by the national colloquy on human rights abuses in Morocco, held last November.
