Lebanon strongly denies President Lahoud's assassination attempt

The press office for the Lebanese Presidency on Monday deliberately denounced the news published by the London- based daily Al-Sharq Al-Awsat on Monday that the Lebanese President Emil Lahoud was exposed to a failed assassination attempt.
In a statement, the Lebanese presidential palace on Monday described this news as fabricated and totally null and void.
