Palestine-Israel, Politics, 12/29/2001

One Palestinian youth was shot on the road to Natsareim settlement to the south of Gaza while number of wounded during the clashes between the Arab citizens and the Israeli forces tolled to 20 in Ramullah.

In Rafah, Gaza, nine Palestinians were wounded by the Israeli bullets including Mrs. Raghda Mansour ( 26 year old). Eye witnesses said the Israeli forces deliberately opened fire at those Palestinians.

As the Israeli forces arrested five Palestinians under the pretext of stabbing an Israeli settler by a knife in Jerusalem, the " Islamic Jihad Movement " claimed responsibility for the attacks targeted an Israeli vehicle on the road between al- Mintar crossing and Natsareim settlement. The Movement also indicated that the attack also resulted in the killing of the Palestinian youth Mahmoud Rajab al-Bura' (24 year old).

This incident was preceded by throwing a bomb at the Israeli army positions in Rafah while the " Islamic Jihad" stressed commitment to continue resistance operations until the elimination of the Israeli occupation.
