Car industry in the Arab states deteriorating

An official report issued by the Arab organization for Agricultural development has explained that Car producing Arab companies suffer difficulties in exporting its products because of the increase in production costs at 30% over producing cars in other countries.

The report said that Egypt occupied the first position at the level of the Arab states in producing cars, as it production reached 76,000 annually, then comes Morocco 25,000, Tunisia 3200 cars; Algeria 2125 cars; Saudi Arabia 1800 cars; Libya 1500 cars; Sudan 700 cars and lastly Jordan 100 cars.

As for demands for cars, the report of the Arab organization said that the Gulf Cooperation Council GCC member states occupy the first rate of average annual imports of cars 225,000; then come the Arab Maghreb states with 220,000 car; Egypt with 110,000, Syria 60,000 and Yemeni 52,000 cars.
