Algerian businesswoman institutes Maghreban literary prize

An Algerian businesswoman, Nacera Chaoui, has instituted a Maghreban literary prize, worth US$ 15,000.
The initiative was announced by chairman of the Algerian writers association during a function held on the occasion of the birth of the Maghreban writers association.
Writers unions from the five Maghreban countries (Algeria, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco and Tunisia) announced on Tuesday the birth of the Maghreban writers union, designed to be another component of the civil society in the Maghreb and promote values of unity and cooperation.
