Jordanian- Kuwaiti talks

The Jordanian prime minister Ali Abu al-Ragheb on Wednesday in Amman discussed with the Kuwaiti delegation led by Salah Khourshid, Kuwait's minister of industry and commerce relations between the two countries especially in the field of investment.

The two sides underlined the importance of seizing investment opportunities through the free trade agreement signed between the two states on Wednesday following two days of the meetings of the joint ministerial committee.

Abu al-Ragheb stressed that the agreement signifies a reciprocated good intention between the two governments and also open the door for the flow of commodities between the two states and the exchange of services.

The two sides agreed to follow up resolutions of the Arab summit which were held in Amman in March 2000 especially in economic fields and work to double the volume of trade increase between the two states for their interests.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Jordanian King Abdullah II received Salah Khourshid and stressed to him Jordan's support to the steps made for the objective of revitalizing economic, trade and investment relations between the two countries.

During the meeting, the Kuwaiti minister announced that there is an inclination to establish of Jordanian- Kuwaiti holding company that furnishes for establishing projects that would be the nucleus for other several holding companies in the future.
