Syrian vice president confers with al-Sader

Syrian Vice - President Abdul Halim Khaddam on Wednesday received the Iranian deputy foreign minister Muhammad al-Sader. Discussions dealt with the situation in Afghanistan and in the region and bilateral relations between the two countries
The meeting was attended by the Iranian ambassador in Damascus Hussein Sheikh al-Islam and the director of the Middle East department at the Iranian foreign ministry Muhammad Irani.
