Al-Assad gets a message from Iranian counterpart

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on Wednesday at the Damascus al-Shaab palace received the Iranian deputy foreign minister Muhammad al-Sader. The meeting was attended by the deputy premier and foreign minister Farouk al-Shara and the Iranian ambassador in Damascus Hussein Sheikh al-Islam.
Al-Assad got a message from President of the Islamic republic of Iran Sayed Muhammad Khatami and asked al-Sader to convey his greetings and good wishes to the spiritual leader of the Islamic revolution Ali Khameni and to President Muhammad Khatami.
Discussions dealt with latest current developments at the international and regional arenas especially in Afghanistan and the Israeli aggressions against the palestinian people.
