Jordanian opposition for resuming dialogue with the government without prior conditions

The Jordanian opposition has called on the government to resuming dialogue between the two sides in order to eliminate tension in the Jordanian street. It announced readiness to such a dialogue preconditions.
As opposition sources held the government responsible for the tension, it stressed the need of opening dialogue channels in order to reach common equilibrium towards issues of concern to the citizens and the homeland.
The opposition sources also called on the government to achieve fundamental reforms at the political and economic levels and to expand the base of public freedoms, raise its ceiling and to suspend all measures taken by the government obstructing the democratic process and the parliamentary life in the country.
Among many others, the secretary general of the al-Wahda al-Shabeya ( people's unity) party Saeed Ziab said the opposition opposes the increase in fuel prices and calls on the government to deal with the disorder in the structure of the Jordanian economy and not to abide by or listen to the recommendations and directives of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund in this regard and not to privatize many sectors.
He added that the opposition parties have prepared a work paper on economic conditions in the country including perceptions to these deteriorated conditions and to improve the Jordanian economy through fighting unemployment, and carrying out projects that can ensure new job opportunities to citizens; increasing the economic and social levels of citizens and dealing with the problem of the Jordanian debts.
