Six persons drowned, over fifteen houses damaged by heavy rains

Six persons traveling aboard an inter-city taxi drowned on Sunday, when the taxi was swept along by the floods caused by heavy rains in the region of Settat. Two of them were found and the four others are still missing.
According to an eye witness, the taxi driver refused to heed warnings and preferred to go on with the trip. The vehicle started to float and passengers who left the vehicle were swept along by the floods.
Another man suffered serious injuries by lightning in a small locality near the city of Settat.
Meanwhile, more than fifteen houses were inundated in the city as sewerage pipes choked up and others were opened by the rain waters strength, inundating some avenues.
