An oil agreement signed between Iraq, Jordan

Iraq and Jordan on Sunday signed the special program on ensuring the latter ( Jordan)'s requirements of crude oil and oil by- products for 2002 at preferable prices.
The Jordanian minister of oil and mineral resources Muhammad al-Bateynah who signed the agreement with the Iraqi oil minister Amer Muhammad Rasheed said that the said agreement will provide his country will all its oil requirements for 2002, estimated at 45 million tons of crude oil and one million ton of oil- by products.
For his part, the Iraqi oil minister considered that signing the oil protocol is but an extra step towards developing " relations between the two sisterly countries."
