Preparations to convene the national reconciliation conference in Somalia

The Somali war leader Hussein Muhammad Aided announced on Sunday in Addis Ababa that a team delegated by the government's authority to fighting drought and desertification IGAD is currently touring Somalia in preparations to convene the national reconciliation conference.

News reports quoted " Aided " as saying that the aim of this mission is to discuss the Somali peace process with effected sides in order to prepare for a next national reconciliation conference, noting that the national reconciliation process and terrorism will be the focal point in the mission's discussions.

He explained that the mission will draw a comprehensive program to be submitted to IGAD's summit which will be held on January 11 and 12, 2002 in al-Khartoum which assumes IGAD's current presidency and includes Seven eastern African states.
