Iranian delegation visits Saudi Arabia

A delegation representing the Iranian Shoura council, chaired by the speaker of the council Mahdi Karoubi will today pay an official visit to Saudi Arabia. The visit will last for several days.

Kroubi and members of the accompanying delegation will hold talks with high ranking officials and the chairman of the Shoura council in Saudi Arabia aiming at increasing relations between the two countries and strengthening cooperation relations between the two councils ( parliaments) in Saudi Arabia and Iran.

The chairman of the Iranian Shoura council was accompanied to this visit by the minister of industry and mining Ishak Jihankiri, the commerce minister Muhammad Share'itmari and several members of the council and officials at the Iranian foreign ministry.

The visit of the Iranian delegation comes in the framework of the desire of the two countries to develop bilateral cooperation in various fields especially as all prospects have become open between the two countries since the signing of the security agreement between them in April this year.
