Industrial production posts slight improvement

Processing industry has posted a slight improvement of 1% in the period between July and September 2001, compared to the precedent three months, official statistics say.
The source also expect the upward tendency will be maintained for the last three months of 2001, in view of the positive evolution of fruits and vegetables canning activities, metal products, pulp making and cement.
Meanwhile, activities of sugar, tea, yeast and private vehicles industries have regressed.
