Marrakesh hosts second tourism convention in january

Marrakesh will play host next January 25 to the second tourism convention to be attended by more than 1,500 participants representing Moroccan and foreign tour operators, decision makers and businessmen operating in the sector of tourism.
The convention will debate the broad lines of the contract-program concluded between tourism professionals and the state as well as the various issues related to tourism in Morocco and ways of reactivating the sector and alleviating the negative effects of the current international juncture.
The first tourism convention, held in January 2001, was marked by a royal speech that enunciated orientations to promote the sector and reach the goal of 10 million tourists per year by 2010.
