Israel continues attacks against the Palestinians

Three Palestinians of the territories of 1948 were shot by the Israeli bullets and other 6 arrested in violent confrontation that took place in Ein Mahel town to the north of occupied Palestine.

Eye- witnesses said the clashes took place when citizens of the town tried to prevent the Israeli authorities from constructing a road in their agricultural lands.

On Wednesday at dawn, the Israeli forces arrested five citizens of Sankhin and Arrabah villages in the territories of 1948 because of their participation of a demonstration of protest over the visit of the Israeli president Moshe Katsav to the two said villages during Eid al- Fiter.

In Jenin, the West Bank, the Israeli tanks bombarded a position for the Palestinian police and the bombardment resulted in wounding one policeman, while the Israeli forces broke into several villages in the area and carried out a mopping up and vast detention campaign covered houses, schools and mosques searching for wanted Palestinians and also demolished and leveled roads linking the villages especially the entrance of Qbatia and Jenin- Nablus road.

Meantime, the Israeli forces arrested 6 Palestinians in the context of an arrest campaign carried out in Hebron and al-Azereyah town in the east of Jerusalem at the charges of throwing explosives at the Israeli military cars.

The Palestinian retaliated to these aggressions by attacking an Israeli military car near Ramullah and one Israeli soldier was wounded as a result.
