A free trade agreement signed between Kuwait, Jordan

Jordan and Kuwait will sign a free trade agreement in conclusion of discussions to be held in Amman by the Kuwaiti minister of commerce and industry and his Jordanian counterpart Salah al-Bashir by the end of next week.

The Kuwaiti minister who is visiting Jordan on top of a high ranking delegation discusses means of strengthening trade exchange and economic relations between the two states. Relations which have witnessed tangible progress during the two past years.

A source at the Jordanian ministry of industry and commerce said that all matter of dispute between the two sides concerning trade exchange were solved and settled with the Kuwaiti side and that a full exemption of customs fees will cover all exchanged commodities between the two states.

The source said that Jordan is also giving additional facilities to Kuwaiti investors in the framework of a general Jordanian inclination to encourage Arab and foreign investments.
