IGAD urges the international community to help Somalia

The Presidency of both the Government's Organization for African development IGAD and the coalition of the desert and coast states have called on all regional and international organizations to stand by Somalia in withstanding the alleged claims on having terrorist camps inside its territories.
In a joint statement the presidencies of the two organization in a joint statement issued on Thursday in Sudan, which is the current rotating presidency of the two organizations, called on western states especially the US to take into account the difficult living conditions in Somalia and to averting any military act especially the announcement made by the Somali provisional government its readiness to cooperate in fighting terrorism and to work for regional and international peace and security.
The statement also stressed providing aids to the Somali people in order to achieve more peace in their country, rather than war and destruction.
