Arab ministers of the Interior call for supporting Arafat

The council of the Arab ministers of the Interior on Friday expressed their " great concern" towards " the escalation of the Israeli aggression " in the Palestinian territories and called for supporting the Palestinian people and their authority chaired by Yasser Arafat.
In a statement issued in Tunisia, its permanent headquarters, on Friday, the council's general secretariat condemned in particular the attacks which targeted the leaders of the Palestinian authority and security forces members.
The statement added " Israel wants to create a state of disorder and security vacuum as an introduction to re-occupy the territories restored back by the Palestinians with the aim to ultimately eliminate the peace process."
