On the Golan's annexation anniversary: strikes, demonstration prevail the Golan

In a statement released on Friday on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of imposing the Israeli decisions and the annexation decision, the Syrian people in the occupied Golan stressed their commitment to their Syrian Arab identity and vowed to continue commitment and loyalty to the homeland Syria and adherence to national principles.

The statement which was issued following a massive demonstration in Majdal Shams village denounced the Israeli occupation and its anti- peace practices and called for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as a capital. The statement commended the al-Aqsa Intifada and the Arab militants of the Golan, Palestine and Lebanon in the Israeli jails.

AFP correspondent reported that the Syrians of the occupied Golan carried out a comprehensive strike in the anniversary of the annexation decision taken by the Israeli Knesset on December 14, 1982.

The correspondent added that the stores and schools closed their door and the people raised the Syrian flags over their houses while huge demonstrations took the streets of Majdal Shams condemning the Israeli annexation decision and stressing commitment to the Syrian Identity.
