Lebanon answer to UN resolution 1373

Lebanon has sent its answers to questions raised by the UN Security Council resolution no.1373 pertaining to fighting terrorism.

The Lebanese foreign minister Mahmoud hammoud said that he had sent the answers to Lebanon's permanent mission at the UN to be handed over to the chairman of the committee formed according to the said resolution, the British representative at the UN Security Council Jermy Green-Stock. Hammoud explained that the answers stem from Lebanon's readiness to work with the UN in order to fight international terrorism according to the international law and the Lebanese principles.

Hammoud explained that the answers dealt with means adopted by states to fighting terrorism including oppressing the finance of terrorism, money laundry and related security and legal measures.
