Detention of two Israelis extended in Los Angeles
Regional-USA, Local, 12/15/2001

The American court in Los Angeles has extended the detention period for two Israelis from the extremist Jewish defense league under accusation of committing several terrorist operations against Arab and Islamic targets in the USA.

The Israeli radio correspondent in Washington said the two men are the chairman of the League Irving David Rubin and one member of the League called Earl Leslie Krugel.

The correspondent said that the two said Israelis have planned for bombarding a mosque in Los Angeles and the office for the US Congress member Darrell Issa who is a Muslim of Lebanese origin.

The two Israelis had also planned to implant explosives at the headquarters of the Islamic council for the Arab- American relations in Los Angeles. The court refused to release the two men by a guarantee and decided to start their trial after two weeks.
