China's foreign minister to visit Jordan

The Chinese Foreign minister Tang Jiang will arrive in Amman on December 24 in an official visit to Jordan that will last for two days at the invitation of the Jordanian foreign minister Abdul Illah al-Khatib.
According to diplomatic sources at the Chinese embassy in Amman, the visiting minister will discuss with high ranking Jordanian officials regional and international issues of mutual concern as well as means of strengthening relations.
A statement released on Wednesday by the Chinese embassy in Amman said that minister Jiang will start his tour on the region by visiting Lebanon and then Syria, Jordan and Egypt, respectively.
The statement added that Jiang received invitations from the foreign ministers of these countries as well as an invitation from the Secretary general of the Arab League Amre Mousa. The statement continued that the Chinese minister will also be meeting with the leaderships of the countries he will visit in order to discuss political conditions in the region and means of developing bilateral relations for serving the interests of all sides.
