Israeli warplanes continue violations of the Lebanese airspace
Lebanon-Israel, Politics, 12/13/2001
The Israeli warplanes on Wednesday renewed its violation of the Lebanese airspace and broke the sound barrier over the capital Beirut.
Lebanese security sources said that Israeli planes flew on Wednesday afternoon over most areas of south Lebanon until the outskirts of the Bekaa and broke the sound barriers for several times.
Meantime, the personal representative for the UN secretary general for South Lebanon Steven De Mistpra has urged, once again, the Israeli authorities to put an end to the Israeli air violations and to honor the border lines drawn by the UN.
A statement released on Wednesday by the UN center for information in Beirut said that two air violations were registered by two Israeli warplanes and 4 pilot-less planes though the border line and inside the Lebanese airspace on Tuesday.
