Yemeni president calls for challenging kidnapping operations

The Yemeni President Ali Abdullah saleh has called on the Yemeni army and security forces to challenge kidnapping operations which, as he stressed, inflict great damage on the national economy, tourism and investment.
News reports quoted Saleh as saying during his meeting with the leaderships and officials in the ministries of defense, security and the interior:" I have confident in your capability to eliminate this disease ( kidnapping ) ."
The Yemeni President also expressed satisfaction over the relief of the German hostage.
