Tehran waits the visit of the Jordanian King
Jordan-Iran, Politics, 12/12/2001

Iranian diplomatic sources said that Tehran is waiting for the Jordanian King Abdullah II to set a date to visit Iran, noting that that so far two dates were canceled for " force major " because of which the Jordanian monarch could not visit Tehran.

The Iranian diplomatic sources added that a new date will be set for the visit, a large program will be drawn for the visit that comes up with the weight the Jordanian King enjoys and the volume of the Jordanian- Iranian relations.

The same sources unveiled a coming visit to be held by the Jordanian foreign minister Abdul Illah al-Khatib to Tehran and again did not set a date for that visit and just confined to saying that this visit will be made very soon.

The Iranian sources explained the Jordanian foreign minister will discuss during his visit to Iran issues of mutual concern, foremost being the difficult conditions the Palestinians suffer as a result of the Israeli stubbornness and issues of concern to the two countries.
