Israel and al-Ghajar village
Lebanon-Israel, Politics, 12/12/2001

Well-informed sources said on Tuesday that Israel's giving up of al-Ghajar border village which is divided by the line drawn by the UN to the southern Lebanese border means that more that 2000 persons of the citizens of the village will enter Lebanon.

The Orient ( al-Sharq) radio quoted these sources as saying that those citizens who carry the Israeli nationality will be a risk on the Lebanese government and on the UN.

The sources expressed hope that Israel's decision to give up al-Ghajar village will be accepted by Lebanon to receive 2000 of its citizens.

The sources indicated that a meeting was held in al-Ghajar on Tuesday in the presence of UN and Israeli officers to discuss this matter.
