Egypt, Politics, 12/11/2001

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak will address the nation tonight on the occasion of celebrating Lailatul-Qadr (the night in which the Quran was revealed) to reiterate that slam was diametrically opposed to terrorism and the killing of civilians.

The President will also emphasize that resistance against foreign occupation is a perfectly legitimate action.

The Ministry of Awkaf (Religious Endowments) has announced the names of winners in the Quran recitation and memorization contest.
