Moroccan-French friendship association donates Morocco mobile medical unit
Morocco-France, Culture, 12/11/2001
The Moroccan-French Friendship Association has donated Morocco a Mobile Medical Unit that was handed over to King Mohammed VI in Casablanca Monday by the association chairman Mehdi Qotbi.
The unit, including a laboratory and diagnosis equipment, will enable to promote the immunization operation of children and mothers in the rural world and to diagnose pregnancy-related pathologies.
The ceremony was attended by advisor to the king, Ms Zoulikha Nasri, and director of the royal office, Mohamed Rochdi Chraibi.
The unit was purchased thanks to the funds raised at a charity event held by the association in November 2000 under the chairmanship of Princess Lalla Hasna, the sovereign's sister, and Ms Bernadette Chirac, spouse of the president of France.
The Moroccan-French Friendship Association was set in 1992 and gathers personalities from various political horizons.
