Sharon confers with US envoy

Israel's prime minister Ariel Sharon on Monday in occupied Jerusalem met with the special US envoy Anthony Zinni.
The Israeli radio quoted Israeli political sources as saying that the meeting came to with the aim to convince Zinni to stay in the region, claiming that Israel pins great importance to continue Zinni's mission in the region.
