Korean volunteers in Morocco

The government of South Korea dispatched last month seven young volunteers specialized in computer-science, machinery and pedagogy.
The initiative is part of cooperation programs between the Moroccan and South Korean governments.
Before coming to Morocco, the professionals underwent 10 seminars they also attended courses by a Moroccan professor on the Moroccan culture in addition to courses in the Arabic language.
The volunteers, who live with Moroccan families, are currently undergoing a 1-month training before they start their two-year stay in Morocco.
Between 1990 and 2000, South Korea sent nearly 1,000 young volunteers in 30 developing nations. This is the first time that a group of volunteers is sent to Morocco.
