Al-Bashir gets a message from Somali president

Sudan's President Omar Hassan al-Bashir who is the President of the current rotating presidency of IGAD has got a written message from the Somali President Abdul Qasem Salad Hassan.
The message was handed to the Sudanese President by the envoy of the Somali President Youssef Hussein Ibrahim. The message related to bilateral relations and the question of the Somali reconciliation which Sudan is in charge of following up.
In a statement following his meeting with the Sudanese President, the Somali envoy said that Somalia supports the efforts made by President al-Bashir to take steps he finds appropriate to making neighborly states contribute to this process of reconciliation.
He explained he briefed al-Bashir with latest developments in Somalia especially the onslaught carried out by the western media against his country and that Somalia will be the next target after Afghanistan. The envoy said that Somalia sees no reason to be targeted because Somalia does not have centers nor camps for al-Qaida organization and that the Somali people are Muslims but do not support terrorism.
