Sudan prepares replies to Danforth proposals

The Sudanese government has approved the negotiations paper in dealing with the moves led by the US presidential envoy for peace in Sudan John Danforth and called for dealing with a vast vision with the question of peace.

The advisor for the Sudanese President for peace affairs Ghazi Salah Eddine al-Qabbani told the Sudanese al-Sahafi al-Dawli that the Sudanese government has adopted a more comprehensive vast vision towards achieving peace in Sudan on in the framework of replying the American proposals which were debated by the American presidential envoy John Danforth to the Sudanese government and to the rebellion movement.

Ghazi Salah Eddine refused to disclose the details of the Sudanese answer, noting these contain negotiation stances that should not be in the media and that the government has given a vaster framework for dealing with the four points defined by the American envoy during his visit to al- Khartoum last month.

Danforth gave for initial proposals as a first step towards attaining peace in Sudan. They related to establish isolated areas in the south, reaching humanitarian aids to those who are affected by the war and not to bombard the residential areas.
