Ministerial meeting to activate market, promote exports

An expanded meeting under Prime Minister Dr. Atef Ebeid was held yesterday to probe new mechanisms to activate market and increase exports.

Minister of Foreign Trade Youssif Boutros Ghali said that the Prime Minister called for increasing demand on the domestic production.

"The meeting centered on the marketing shortcoming to promote the Egyptian exports as the Egyptian product can efficiently compete at the international market," Ghali said.

"All administrative obstacles which hinder exports would be eliminated," he added.

"An agreement between ministers of foreign trade and transport was reached to form a joint council for ending the land, air and sea transport problems which hinder exports," he said.
