Al-Assad gets a message from Yemeni counterpart
Syria-Yemen, Politics, 12/5/2001

President Bashar al-Assad on Tuesday at the Damascus al-Shaab palace received the Yemeni foreign minister Abu Baker al-Qurabi.

The meeting was attended by the Syrian foreign minister Farouk al- Shara and Yemen's ambassador in Damascus Abdullah al-Hosni.

The President got a message from al-Qurabi, from the Yemeni President Ali Abdullah saleh relating to the results of his tour which covered the US, Germany and France.

Talks dealt with the gravely deteriorated conditions in the occupied Arab territories and the sufferings of the Palestinians because of the state run terrorism conducted by Israel in its ugliest forms.

Discussions also dealt with conditions on the Arab arena to withstand current developments as well as bilateral relations between the two states and means of strengthening them.
