Iraqi FM and the US threats
Iraq-USA, Politics, 12/5/2001

Iraq's foreign minister Naji Sabri al-Hadeithi has stressed that he can not say there is an American threat for Iraq, adding that there is no justification for the aggression.

In a statement to the London- based al-Hayat daily issued on Tuesday, the Iraqi FM indicated that there is a Zionist provocative campaign which tries to prepare the American public opinion towards launching aggressions against the Arabs and Muslims.

The Iraqi minister indicated that the American state secretary Colin Powell denied the existence of any threat to striking Iraq, noting that the Arab states are the victims of " the Zionist terrorism and aggression."

Al-Hadeithi said there is an Israeli provocative campaign to strike the Arab states, noting that this provocation continues in a hatred - launched campaign run by Zionists in the American media and carried out by Israeli elements in the American administration.
