US embassy in al-Riyadh denied to have asked women asking for visa to take off their veils

The US embassy in al-Riyadh has denied news that it had asked women who apply for entry visa to the US to take off their veils apart from the migration visa in which women supposed to appear unveiled in the picture attached to the application.
In a statement, the embassy said that the veil of the Muslim woman is a religious duty and therefore the picture of the Muslim woman who covers her face is accepted but under the condition that part of her face is not covered, while for men it is stipulated their picture to have no cover on the heads.
However, several papers issued reports that the American embassy asked all those who apply for a non- migration visas to give picture without head- cover.
