American plan to strike Iraq

A western diplomat in Cairo disclosed to the Jordanian daily al-Arab al-Youm paper an American plan to strike Iraq due to start by the end of January, 2002.

The diplomat who asked not to be identified said that the European states which take part in the military alliance with America against terrorism know about this plan which was drawn by the US state department.

He said that the European intelligence departments including the French and the Russian are preoccupied by gathering necessary evidences condemning Iraq of terrorism and this is within an integrated map for the next war against Iraq so as the mistakes the US is facing now in Afghanistan will not be repeated.

The western diplomat also did not rule out the expansion of the American war circle against terrorism, noting that Pentagon circles are witnessing at the meantime discussions on targeting Somalia, Sudan and Yemen, which are seen by the US as had given aid to al-Qaida networking.
