Egypt capable of defending its territories-analyst

Deputy Chairman of Middle East Studies Centre and Military and Strategic Analyst, Maj. General Ahmed Abdel Halim said that Egypt is capable of foiling any aggression on its territories or threat to its national interests.

The defense concepts of Egypt have changed over the recent decades to protect Sinai to the High Dam.

In a forum on "Development projects in Sinai between war and peace" held at the Faculty of Education in A1 Arish, Abdel Halim said the real security in the Middle East is through peace.

"Egyptian policies center on peace as a strategic choice, which depends on the practices of the other side. Sinai is very effective in Egyptian national security which starts in Palestinian territories," he added.
