Mideast conflict puts world peace in jeopardy, moroccan fm
Morocco-Palestine, Politics, 12/4/2001

The Middle-East conflict represents a permanent threat to peace and security not only in the region but in the world at large, Moroccan foreign affairs and cooperation minister, Mohamed Benaissa said on Tuesday. The killing of men, women and children and the sufferings of the Palestinian people are an ordeal that the human consciousness can no longer bear, Benaissa told the 9th ministerial conference of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), held in the Romanian capital city of Bucharest.

A fair and lasting solution to this conflict within the respect of international legality and of the relevant United Nations resolutions can be enforced only with the resumption, without conditions, of the peace process within the Mitchell plan, he said.
