Egypt condemns all acts of mutual violence

The Egyptian President Mubarak said in statements to Middle East News Agency MENA that he regretted those events that came at the time when international efforts were being exerted for easing down the situation between the two sides.

The President said Egypt condemns all acts of mutual violence that targets civilians and called for stopping all retaliatory and military operations in order to prevent further bloodshed.

Mubarak has called for the need to face up to attempts that are aimed at blasting peace efforts.

He called on the parties concerned to shoulder their responsibilities in response to international community efforts that are aimed at achieving security and stability for the Palestinian and Israeli peoples.

The President said there is no substitute for resuming negotiations, dialogue and abandoning of the use of force and retaliation logic.
