Some 25 Israelis were killed 220 wounded in Palestinian suicide operations

Israel was strongly shaken and a state of horror and unrest prevailed following the execution of three suicide Palestinian operations, two in Western Jerusalem and a third in Haifa, resulted in killing 24 Israelis and wounding 210 and the murdering of the executors of the three operations.

These operations were a strong blow to Sharon's policy he promised to achieve security and peace altogether and pushed him to shorten his visit to the US and to return back to Israel to decide how to react to these attacks.

The American administration condemned the operations and the Palestinian Authority also condemned these operations and declared a state of emergency coupled by a campaign of arrest targeted tens of members and cadres of Hamas and the Islamic Jihad, but Israel doubted these Palestinian measures and threatened to move in order to " halt terrorism."

During the 48 hours three suicide operations were executed in Western Jerusalem targeted " Bin Yahuda alley and resulted in killing 10 Israelis and wounding 170 and the killing of the executor. The third attack targeted a passengers coach in Haifa and resulted in killing 14 Israelis and wounding some 40.
