Acts of violence in Somalia

Some 15 persons were killed at least and other 20 wounded in tribal confrontation took place on Saturday in the southern part of Somalia.

News report quoted eye-witnesses as saying that some 11 persons were killed in a battle erupted on Saturday afternoon because of differences over a land in Tobonka Bondo village to the south of Makadishu and four wounded persons died later.

On the other hand, the minister of sciences and technology in the provisional Somali government Abdul Qader Muhammad Madaheyah has called on the two fighting sub- tribes of Abqal and Ghari who affiliate to the major tribe of Haweyah to work to reach a cease fire.
